otherwise, i'll just ignore it and release anyway, until someone could
look into it.
I took a stab at it but failed to figure out the cause. Netrefs aren't
the easiest things to debug. I'd like to get this sorted out by the time
3.1.1 is released. So I have no objections for releasing 3.1.0 without a
fix for this, but I'd say it's crucial to get it done by 3.1.1 since the
next release may be much further away.
