It would be very interesting how rrdcached behaves without striping but
using very "aggressive" caching, i.e. something like a day or so. Did
you test that as well? It would be particularly interesting how this
compares to the same setup but striping enabled. I could imagine that,
in that case, striping does not further improve IO load very much.
