Thanks for all those that helped me before.  I figured out why I am
having my problems.  And it is very similar to another post that someone put
on a little while ago.  I didn't see answer to  his post.  So I am hoping
that someone might have figured it out by now.  It seems that even though my
Makefile was using GCC in all the previous lines.  In the Perl-shared one it
reverts         back to CC.  I can't figure out why.  Again this is on
Solaris 8.
