I used a couple of methods to get SNMP data. One was to use an OCX from within a WSH script. This works out pretty well because you get the power of VBScript/JScript along with the commandline features. http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/8979/snmpctl.html
You can check http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/mrtg.htm for information on using PERL as a mechanism for getting OID information.
