I posted this on the MRTG list as well. Since it basically involves both MRTG and RRDTOOL, I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas on what the problem might be...
Any help is greatly appreciated... -----Original Message----- I've been trying to track down a problem with MRTG where it will stop running for apparently no reason. It stops cold without doing any cleanup. (ie, removing the .pid file) .... I have no idea where to look to fix this. The config files look ok, and the .rrd files look fine, to the best of my knowledge... I receive this error when I run mrtg by hand : ERROR: Cannot update /usr2/local/graphmon/Data/38300.14.rrd with '1019746493:1572495528:389840083' unknown consolidation function 'RRD' 38300.14.rrd is an rrd created by MRTG. If I delete the file and re-run, it creates a new one and works fine. But, it almost seems that at random times other files exhibit the same problem. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a fix? Am I doing something wrong? I'm running MRTG 2.9.18 Pre7 (soon to be Pre8) on a Redhat 6.2 system. --------------------------- Jason H. Frisvold Senior ATM Engineer Engineering Dept.
