I'm not quite sure how mrtg would handle it? I would be running into the situation that you are talking about. I assumed the mrtg would simply hand the data to RRD and the database handles the how the data was manipulated. In our case 14all.cgi would do the rendering of the images, and I don't know if that would graph the additional years worth of data. I, too, would be helped immensely if someone else has used mrtg in conjuntion with rrdtool and 14all.cgi to graph two years of data instead of one. I'd assume disk space requirements would double per database, but I'm guessing...
