Hi,

I also need to calculate the deltas between successive values of a DS. As
far as I can tell this should be a matter of using something akin to:
        ... DEF:x=testdpk.rrd:myds:LAST CDEF:y=x,PREV(x),- ...

However all this does is generate:
        invalid rpn expression 'PREV(x)'

I'd been playing around with this for a while to no avail when I found
Stanley's email in the archive. I notice that there's been no response to
it. Is there anybody who has successfully used the PREV(x) rpn-operator and
wants to share an example?

Thanks in advance,

Darren Kelly

Subject: [rrd-users] PREV in 1.0.38 ?

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Changelog for rrdtool shows the PREV function in 1.0.39 despite the
1.0.38 docco refrerring to it ...

Does it work in 1.0.38 ?

Yes. Please would you send me an example ?
No. How could I simulate it ?

I would like to plot the deltas of GAUGE data.

Yours sincerely.
