Is it because of absence of space between -B and the path.....? It's just my guess... It presume it gets it through the "./configure" script. you could try to rename cc to old_cc and make a symlink to gcc named cc. Either install gcc or look up cc's equivalent for the -B switch and repeat that for all the other switches it doesn't understand.
