I can read between the lines and guess you have not read the tutorial.
Go read it, especially the cdef part on
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/tutorial/cdeftutorial.html

That'll teach you how to set up a rrd that holds the number of lines that are
used and teaches you how to make a cdef that divides it by the total number of
lines and graphs it.

Subject: [rrd-users] percentage as opposed to rate

I want to use RRD to graph the maximum lines available and the current lines
used on a cisco device. I donot want the rate, but the percentage of usage,
ie. at time X, the percentage of usage is A%, time X+10 , the percentage is
B%. Is it possible to do this in rrd?

any help is appreciated?

btw what is the LAST consolidation function.

thanks,
SKU
