Hello

Am I wrong in assuming that if I do this math I will be correct?:
        ssCpuRawSystem + ssCpuRawUser + ssCpuRawIdle = Total
        then
        (ssCpuRawSystem / Total) * 100 = % of System utilization

Is that correct?

Mark,

Take a look at www.somix.com and look for the MRTG repository in the support
section. They have lots of templates that should give you a hint.

Subject: [rrd-users] Cpu usage %

Hello, sorry if this is not the list for this.

I am trying to map CPU usage of my Linux boxes, using SNMP. I can't seem to
figure out how this is suppose to be done using cpurawuser/ cpurawsystem.
The problem is that, as I understand in order to get the cpu usage % you
need to divide the cpu current usage by cpu total usage. However how does
this give you current usage?

I hope someone can show me how this is done.

Thank you.
Marek
