rrdtool graph parameter: "-S|--step value (default automatic)
By default rrdgraph calculates the width of one pixel in the time domain and tries to get data at that resolution from the RRD. With this switch you can override this behaviour. If you want rrdgraph to get data at 1 hour resolution from the RRD, then you can set the step to 3600 seconds. Note, that a step smaller than 1 pixel will be silently ignored." So If you have a DS with step 1 minute and make an rra of 5 and and rra of 15 values then --step 5*60 or --step 15*60 selects the first or the second RRA. You request a graph for a specified time-span and rrdtool choses the best RRA which covers that time-span. >Thanks >Bret > >-- >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >Bret Jordan Dean's Office >Computer Administrator College of Engineering >801.585.3765 University of Utah > [EMAIL PROTECTED] >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > >-- >Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users >WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi Thomas Erskine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> +1.613.591.8490 -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
