I wrote here in the begining of April about my problem. Problem: While viewing rrdtool generated graphs, from time to time (usually at least once a day), rrdtool starts printing endlessly 'libpng error: stream error'.
I use Cacti for generating graphs, and rrdtool is run from php, so all such logs go to apache and are directed to error_log. After the logfile is 2GB full of such messages it stops writing (2GB file limit), load drops to normal level (0.1-0.4) and everything from now is working perfectly. I could live with 2GB file, but when it's full and i need to restart apache it refuses to start (I need to delete the file, and then start apache). I've tried till now: 1) Recompiling apache+php 2) Recompiling libgd (but as far as I can see rrdtool uses it's own version of GD library...) 3) Using different versions of rrdtool (now using 1.0.42). Starting of error_log flood looks like this: libpng error: Write Error libpng error: stream error libpng error: stream error libpng error: stream error Any suggestions? -- Daniel Fenert --==> [EMAIL PROTECTED] <==-- ====-P o w e r e d--b y--S l a c k w a r e-===-ICQ #37739641-==== ==========- http://daniel.fenert.net/ -==========< +48604628083 > -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
