To find out specific information about an RRD file, use the command "RRDTool 
info."
 
When you say, "normal" text file, do you mean a CSV file?

        Hi,
        How can i find out when the rrd file created?. Because, i want entire 
data from rrd file into text file. But i know, we can use rrdtool dump command 
convert rrd data into xml. But i want normal text file. Any help would be
