Paul: Are those numbers that you want obtainable via SNMP? If so, you could install rrdtool on some other machine, along with some snmpget utilities, and a web server of course, and poll the machine remotely via SNMP.
Depending upon your shop, the "coefficient of hassle" might be very low or very high. Security tends to raise the value of this variable. Otherwise, you would install the whole shooting match on the server you're trying to monitor. Typically, this affects the machine, so depending upon what you are attempting to monitor (and how often), you might alter the load you are attempting to measure. -fitz > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of PAUL WILLIAMSON > Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2003 9:53 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [rrd-users] Remote question > > > I've got a challenge, although I'm sure there's an easy solution. > > I've got 12 numbers that I need to graph from one machine. > The machine > does not have RRDTool or any kind of web server running on > it.
