Hello, The rrdtool Tutorial gives good examples how to work with this tool (http://www.rrdtool.com/tutorial/) Then the creation of the rrd dipends on the variable type, set to GAUGE, COUNTER.... Another good page I've found is this: http://ei.kefro.st/projects/rrdtool/ A nice page how to collect traffic and create graphs.
I'm sure these pages are helpful ;) Bye Simon > -----Messaggio originale----- > Da: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Per conto di > Giorgos Georgiadis > Inviato: martedì 20 gennaio 2004 13.32 > A: [email protected] > Oggetto: [rrd-users] new user to rrdtool > > > > hello. > > I am a new user to rrdtool, and I need some help. > All I want to do is give to rrdtool values for 7 variables > (protocol traffic variables) and have a graphical output. > > the values I give to variables are bytes count for specific > protocols (http, ftp etc), and I want to visualize these > values over a period of > one day, lets say. > > could anyone give me a simple example doing this with rrdtool? > I am a bit confused with the parameters I must use... > > thanx > > -- > Unsubscribe > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> subject=unsubscribe > > Help > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users > WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi > > -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
