I have a query on rrdtool integration with Mrtg.Please help me getting clarified this problem. If i want to backup(using some Linux Shell script) old mrtg traffic graphs, suppose for a year(From January 2003 -February 2004) , and if i do not access the graphs for a particular period say for the month of May 2003, will they be backed up.And when i want to view them some time later will they be available.
As i understand the grpahs are created with rrd , as & when you access the files. Please clarify. At the moment i have this situation With Out RRD & i have no problem with the setup.
