Hello!
I really enjoy rrdtool, but have problems solving following problem. The
rrdtool man page does not help, I am unable to find a solution using cacti and
some other rrdtool users can't help.
The situation:

I query my printer's uptime via snmpwalk. The rrd-file gets filled and the
graph can be drawed. Several (average) RRAs already exist, but others can be
added.

The question:

How can I draw a (horizontal) line that represents the highest uptime _ever_? I
understand MAX instead of AVERAGE only gives me the maximum of a given
interval, which by definition is not infinite. So my assumption is the problem
can be solved with a CDEF. I tried a bit and had a look at the manpage and
several examples, but am unable to draw my line.
As far as I know "hrule" only works if I know the highest value. Using a
(simple) script that returns the highest value would work, but is not the
solution I want.

Thanks,
