I think you are mistaken. If the graph is below 745 pixels wide, the x-axis will show week numbers. If it is wider, rrdtool will automatically show days i.s.o. week numbers. Since all day names next to each other will not fit on the axis, rrdtool will show the name of every other day. That will be for instance "Mon Wed Fri" for the first week, but since a week has 7 days, the next week will show "Sun Tue Thu" That may be fooling you thinking the graph only covers 2 wednesdays, for instance.
