Tobi,

For what its worth, on oldbox I am using glibc 2.3.4.20040808-r1. On
newbox I am using glibc 2.3.4-2.13.

I don't know anything about gprof...I have looked over the manpage and
tried the following command on newbox:

$ gprof /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.12/bin/rrdtool
BFD: /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.12/bin/rrdtool(.rel.plt): relocation 0 has
invalid symbol index 4
BFD: /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.12/bin/rrdtool(.rel.plt): relocation 1 has
invalid symbol index 5
gmon.out: No such file or directory

I don't figure this is how it is supposed to work :-)

What grpof command line would you like me to use? And I guess I have to
re-compile rrdtool, with the "-pg" option to gcc?

Sorry to be helpless, but...please help?!

-cls
