Indeed. One benefit I can imagine to justify a change is to support multi-homing without having to know or do BGP-fu or figure out how to get (and pay for) your ISPs to accept/announce your prefix(es). From the ISP perspective, you'd look like a normal single-homed customer. Obviously this would apply for either push or pull systems.
