Folks,
Since the first LISP draft, Distributed Hash Tables have been suggested
as a possible mechanism to efficiently map identifiers onto locators.
Laurent Mathy, Luigi Iannone and I have written a short document in I-D
format explaining how the Chord DHT could be extended to map identifiers
onto locators. For this document, we have assumed LISP, but the solution
could be valid for other id/loc sep mechanisms.
Our LISP-DHT proposal is available from
http://inl.info.ucl.ac.be/publications/lisp-dht-towards-dht-map-identifiers-locators
We are now preparing the three pages requested by Lixia/Tony and will
submit them on the wiki before the March 3rd deadline.
Comments/questions/suggestions are welcome
Laurent, Luigi and Olivier
