From your summary, it sounds like any router changes are also very far
from being a given.
I'd either have to replace the router, or buy another box to be the
*TR. However, that's a one box replacement scenario, which if it gets
me multi-provider multihoming is a VERY strong motivator. In other
words, as a site without easy access to PI space I get a big benefit
for very little disruption/cost with an edge router solution.
