Hello RSpec Community, We've always intended for RSpec to fully support Windows, but unfortunately it's received second-class support by virtue of the fact that *all* of the core RSpec developers primarily use posix systems. I myself don't even have access to a Windows machine, which makes troubleshooting windows issues very difficult.
We broke a couple things on Windows in recent releases and we'd like to rectify that going forward. We discovered that App Veyor[1] provides free windows CI for open source projects (similar to travis). I've started working on getting green Windows builds on AppVeyor[2], but it's been slow going. Is there someone in the community who primarily uses Windows who would like to step forward, join the core team, and take responsibility for providing first-class windows support? If so, please get in touch!
