Hi All, Possible solution to the getting "Connection Closed" problem: Make sure the /usr/lib/rssh/rssh_chroot_helper has setuid permissions i.e. -rwsr-xr-x and not -rwxr-xr-x.
Details: I had that problem on a new debian install (Ubuntu Server 15.10). Took a annoyingly long time to dig up this solution online after looking through the system logs. To avoid frustrating future rssh users, would it be possible to add a comment to the FAQ at http://www.pizzashack.org/rssh/faq.shtml under the "Connection Closed" question? Maybe something along the lines of "Make sure the setuid permission is set for rssh_chroot_helper." Thanks Marc PS: My apologies if this solution has already been posted to this list. If it is then why is the solution not on the FAQ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Transform Data into Opportunity.
