Greetings again. Now that the RSWG has settled on how to describe policies that the RPC can follow, it's time to look again a the rest of the RFC 799x series. The WG adopted draft-rswg-rfc7997bis, but stopped work when there was too much contention about which things were rules, which were policies, and which were merely suggestions.
draft-rswg-rfc7997bis-04 deals with this by making the document a positive statement of policy instead of a set of historical diffs that have been overcome by events. It is based on the publication of many RFCs that use Unicode freely and appropriately. If you dislike any of the text in the new draft, by all means please send suggested new text.
