Hi All,
I must be missing something obvious. Can somebody help me out. If I run
rsync with the delete option and the backup-dir option, I get a nice saved
copy of all files that were deleted. This makes for a nace 'undelete'
function for us. When I use this on a local rsync it makes each backup
directory in parallel in the rsynced-to folder. But when I do this to
another server via ssh, then I get a recursive behavior with each version of
the backup moved to a subdirectory of the current backup. After 10 rsyncs
or so the directory name is starting to get pretty long. Is there any way
to avoid this type of recursive directory structure?
thanks,
john
