i am trying to setup the 2.4.6-1.i386.rpm rsynch daemon server on "A" and
run the same version on client "B". the client rsync process is supposed to
pull a "backup" from A. i am running the standard redhat 7.0 install with
the 2.2.16-22 kernel on "B".

after i set up the conf, secrets file, and the rsync_password export, i
issue the following command:

rsync -cavz [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rsync/testfiles
/home/rsync_incoming/

ie.: get all files in testfiles w/ recurse and sync with the empty
rsync_incoming dir.

this is the message i receive after entering the command:
"rcmd: 12.123.123.12.serverdomain.com: short readunexpected EOF in
read_timeout"

does someone know what this means and why i receive this message?

thanks in advance.

cheers,
oliver
