Thanks. BTW, is there an ETA on 2.6.9? Ther have been a couple of quite significant bug fixes, including "[Bug 4079] New: rsync fails with --inplace, --link-dest and --no-whole-file" which bit me badly; I think the time is about right... Also, with Debian planning to do a new release in December this would be a good time to get a fairly recent version of rsync in.
