According to the manual, it is equivalent to -rlptgoD which means:
-r: recurse into directories
-l: copy symbolic links as symbolic links
-p: copy permissions
-t: copy modification times
-g: copy group ids
-o: copy owner ids
-D: copy device nodes

I have one website I update with rsync where I use -rlptoDvuze (omitting -g)
because the files have to be owned by group sptm on the remote site (so that
the other member of sptm can edit them) and I don't have a group sptm here.
