Yes, that should be OK, except that I do wonder if the --update (-u)
option could be interfering with deletion of files, so you might like
to leave it off unless there's some strong reason to leave it in.

Running with the -vvv option will give more debugging output, so
please post an excerpt of that if pain persists.
