I've been asked the same question. I'm not sure I know either. I've
seen hidden temp files that it looks like rsync is using -- but I'm
not sure if that is how it moves all files.
I would expect rsync to only be able to do a point in time sync. It
seems you can't do much for an open file that is being modified.
