I don't know an easy way to do precisely what you're asking, but the
effect you're looking for is easy to achieve with --backup-dir. I
use that to get precisely the kind of backups you're looking to find
here.
You could just use one --backup-dir for all your backups, then run
the find you're talking about over that. But I use a separate
--backup-dir for each backup, and have disk space checks to delete
the oldest ones; the backup script I use starts deleting when space
utilization on the backup dir gets over 90%, and deletes from the
oldest working forward until space gets back under 80%.
I'll be glad to email it to you, I've posted it to this list
relatively recently and don't want to keep hammering the list with
the same thing over and over again:-).
