The Windows performance of rsyncrypto is bad enough as it is, thank you 
very much.

I don't know why rsyncrypto won't compile on cygwin. Post the compile 
log here and I'll have a look. Either way, rsyncrypto currently has 
support for the Windows file names, and in the future will also support 
more specific file attributes, that cannot be supported through cygwin. 
This means that cygwin will not be the only Windows support rsyncrypto 
offers. I would love it if cygwin could compile it, but it won't be the 
official Windows version one way or the other.
