You are right. There were plans to have rsyncrypto be a filter (i.e. -
encrypt stdin to stdout) and thus be a plugin into rsync, saving this
issue. Right now, I do not have the bandwidth to work on it (nor on
quite a few other things I would like to do with rsyncrypto).
