thanks again for the good advise. Patch applied, files removed,
committed to cvs. Note that I branched for 1.19.11, because there are
already a number of changes in what will become 1.20.1 (GSS-API, clean
module unload interface). The branch for 1.19.11 and above is
v1-19-1_branch. I thought it would contain just one release ;)
