I figured as much but I thought I would ask. In essence, writing a UNIX
timestamp would go against the RFC standard especially if an rsyslog
server were set up as a relay. I am using MySQL UNIX_TIMESTAMP()
function to get what I need but thought this may be available locally in
rsyslog. Thx for the reply,

Daniel

Unfortunately, no. You can find a serious discussion about it at

complicated.
