The disk based queue is IMHO the best feature. I use the database
plug-in as well but common users may not use that feature as much. It's
simple replacement for the stock syslogd and extended timestamp are
useful as well.

Subject: [rsyslog] Advise Requested - most important features

Hi all,

I have the chance to write an article about rsyslog for one of the
largest German *nix magazines. It shall be an overview over rsyslog. I
would like to highlight some features. So which ones do you think are
most important for *ordinary* users? Feedback is most welcome and my
deadline is tight (as usual ;)).

I think this is an excellent opportunity to present rsyslog to a wider
audience, one that that should be done as well as possible ;)

Rainer
