Hi Rainer, hi list
I tried the latest v5 stable release.
First thing I noticed is, that it still uses -c 4 as native mode.
I also noticed problems with logging to a pipe. The default
rsyslog.conf file on Debian has a
daemon.*;mail.*;\
news.err;\
*.=debug;*.=info;\
*.=notice;*.=warn |/dev/xconsole
But I get the following error:
9042.679173747:b7607b70: file to log to: |/dev/xconsole
9042.679183525:b7607b70: doWrite, pData->pStrm 0x814d8c0, lenBuf 131
9042.679194699:b7607b70: strm 0x814d8c0: file -1 flush, buflen 208
9042.679225429:b7607b70: strm 0x814d8c0: open error 2, file '|/dev/xconsole'
I've put a complete debug log + config files at
http://debs.michaelbiebl.de/rsyslog/v5
Rainer, maybe you can take a look.
Thanks,
Michael
