I have done this now. I would appreciate if you could checkout the v4-stable
git head and try with that one. It should now have the exact same behavior as
in 4.4.2 (the pipe code is now the same!). I tested on Debian and it worked
like before.

Thinking about it, I guess it helps ease development in the future, because I
now do not need to think about pipes when I work on omfile and vice versa.
