Hi,

FWIW, when I stop rsyslog (sudo /etc/init.d/rsyslog stop for instanceq),
the last message I see is the sudo message. I could swear I have seen a
shutdown message in the past, but I just tried several times, and no such
luck. Does sound like a race -- perhaps due to the message about the sudo?
