I'm using 6.3.x to try out the mongodb output plugin. It seems that $LocalHostName directive gets ignored once rsyslog has started up. For the first 3 entries which are startup line, notification of group change and then of user change, it uses the FQDN I have set in LocalHostName (as PreserveFQDN also seems not to work). After that it reverts to simply using its hostname.
