I think a ppa would be a nice addition, as it enables us to push recent 
versions up to Debian users. But let's do one step after another.

I personally don't see need to do anything in regard to native Debian, as 
Michael keeps pretty up with development. However, if someone suggest we need 
to have packages for older Debian versions than the official ones, we may be 
able to check with Michael how to make these available.
