i install that
yum install uuid-devel
i still got the error "No package 'uuid' found" if i enable the uuid feature.
and i setup e2fsprogs-1.42.7.tar.gz ,the error go on!

You could install libuuid, alternatively there is a configure option to turn
off the related functionality.

when i in rsyslog directory
./configure
configure: error: Package requirements (uuid) were not met:
No package 'uuid' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBUUID_CFLAGS
and LIBUUID_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
[root@localhost rsyslog-7.2.5]# whereis uuid
uuid: /usr/bin/uuid /usr/include/uuid.h /usr/share/man/man1/uuid.1.gz
[root@localhost rsyslog-7.2.5]#
