Hi,

Is there a way to escape special characters in file path (space) when using
imfile module to send a local log file to a remote server?when trying to read a
file with a path like this one:
/my path/file.log
I get an error indicating that the extra characters 'path/file.log' were
ignored.I tried escaping it with a backslash but to no avail. and I couldn't
find any solution online either.
I'm using rsyslog 5.8.6 on ubuntu server.
Your help would be much appreciated,Hicham

I don't think there is a way to do this with the config file syntax in 5.8. You can try enclosing the path in quotes, but if that doesn't work you are out of luck.

With the new config language in 7.x I would expect this to work as the path is enclosed in quotes to begin with.
