This is what rulesets are for. When you start a listener, you can bind it to a
particular ruleset and only filters in that ruleset will be applied to those
entries.
I don't know if the input variable reflects which socket the message arrives on,
create a test log with the RSYSLOG_DebugFormat to see if the input variable is
set to a useful value
Also if it is possible, will rsyslog create the socket when it starts if it
does not exist or do i need to create it?
I believe that rsyslog creates the socket.
