Hi David Sir,
I have checked for default rsyslog on ubuntu; but it does not having
default installation. So no removal of packages.
what version of ubuntu is this? rsyslog has been part of the default install for
a while?
if you do 'dpkg -l |grep rsyslog'
you should get back something like:
dpkg -l |grep rsyslog
ii rsyslog 4.6.4-2ubuntu4.2
enhanced multi-threaded syslogd
(and this is on a very old ubuntu box)
The contents of /etc/init/rsyslog.conf are : http://fpaste.org/41500/
so what should I try now when I am having only compiled version of
rSyslog installed on my system?
Seeking for guidance,
Thanks !!
