when I add the line:
module(load="mmpstrucdata")
to my rsyslog.conf, I start getting the error:
rsyslogd-2215: mmpstrucdata supports only v6+ config format, use:
action(type="mmpstrucdata" ...) [try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/2215 ]
This is without changing any actions at all, let alone creating an action for
this module.
having a new module like this not support any legacy style actions is fine, but
making it so that you cannot have any legacy style actions if this module is
loaded is going a bit far :-)
