Hi all,

This is a follow-up of the great discussion we had in December. I have had
the opportunity to think about all this in more depth during my vacation
and also had a number of internal discussions. So let's start with
something that's straightforward:

As we have seen with the rsyslog doc project, I did *not* create a copy of
this repository on the Adiscon git server. After even more thinking, I'd
say there is no problem with putting repositories onto github, as long as
we have the ability to relocate them whereever we like if there is need to
do so (for example, the main rsyslog project's repositories are pointed to
by the rsyslog project site, where we can easily change pointers). Also,
git's distributed nature makes it possible to re-create the full repo from
local copies, even in the extremely unlikely case that github should
disappear within an instant.

As a result, I don't think we need to duplicate access permissions to the
Adiscon repository for those projects that have multiple commitors (the
whole idea can extend to other repos as well, but let's discuss that in a
separate thread).

Consequently, I will not create a rsyslog-doc repository on the adiscon
server and I will remove the librelp repo from the Adiscon server, making
the github repo the only official one for the time being.

Comments are deeply appreciated.

Thanks,
Rainer
