Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I did an experiment:
- updated the imudp doc in rsyslog-doc to a good state - updated that on www.rsyslog.com - do 301 redirects from the old doc to the new one I want to see if/how quickly google picks up the new page vs. the old one. Note that there are sitemaps online for both the old and new doc, but the new doc is mostly not indexed (17 out of 342 pages). I want to see if the redirect changes that. I'll wait until the index changes or two to three weeks have passed. Based on the results, we can decide how to move forward.
