Just my 2¢ here: Since v5-v7 are basically in maintenance mode or actually no longer supported, I don't quite see the point jumping through hoops and reworking the documentation completely for those releases. Given the fact that ressources are tight I would concentrate all available efforts on converting the documentation for v8-stable and master and not bother with the older versions. Maybe that would also speed up the conversion process a bit. As said, just my 2¢.
